Wait a minute…they are ruining this building, tore down and aren’t saving much of anything? What about that black and gold entryway at 356 Boylston? I wish everyone could collectively just slap these people in the face. Also shame on you BBNA.
Dang! I worked at an RE company for years right next to this site and I always thought it could've been put to better use. Glad to see the change, but sad for the college kids that will have to settle for the 7-eleven or McD's down the road.
I like this current iteration of design, however I really think that it lacks two things:
1) a realistic height profile that will nestle itself nicely in the neighborhood at around 520-545 ft tall with mech included to not overpower the neighborhood
2) it DESPERATELY needs some appropriate...
I know I don’t post often, but I am so glad this is gone. That Auto Zone was a nightmare to get into and leave. While I don’t like the building it does cut down on wasted space.

If I were to redesign the building, I would have gone with the Asian inspired theme, the one that looked like an elongated birds nest. Would have changed Boston's appearance quite a bit.
I know that the airport is right there, but for gods sake couldn't they have pushed for something just about 10 floors taller? Is that too much to ask?! I wonder what the actual ROI is?
