    Somerville Infill and Small Developments

The more I look at this the more I hate it. The bridge is on the wrong side to interact with the square, there is NO effort to create a "neighborhood center," there is zero depth to the buildings, and the courtyards FACE the ROW which is already deflecting both commuter+GL noise directly at...

    Somerville Infill and Small Developments

First I'm seeing of a model, and it's wholly unimpressive. There is an enormous school on a hill directly across the tracks. This should easily be 10+ stories against the ROW, stepped down to the street wall. There's nothing to obstruct!

Water's Edge is in the news again... ‘Nowhere to go': Tenants must move out of condemned Revere high-rise There are 40 occupied units inside the Water's Edge apartment building. City officials condemned the building last week, saying the fire protection system doesn't work and numerous code...

Potential Exelon Mystic Station Redevelopment | Everett

I was thinking the same. Makes me think that it's not really soccer they're sizing for, it's concerts. It fits right between 17000 at the Garden and 37,000 at Fenway. Can fit a lot of concerts in a year between games

Cape Cod Rail, Bridges and Highways

Depopulation? Proven wrong. Traffic non-existent most of the year? Proven wrong. WFH not lasting or being a driving reason for the population MOVING TO the cape? Proven wrong Haha pretty bold to call others "Karen" - aren't they the ones who make a fuss using completely unsubstantiated and...

North End Cross Street Boutique Hotel | 42 Cross Street | North End

I'm half with you - this is a capstone project to the entrance to the North End - vastly improving this section where the some of the last rotten vestiges of the elevated highway shadow remained. There's no land or appetite that makes this gateway hotel a Gateway drug.

Potential Exelon Mystic Station Redevelopment | Everett

I sorrrrt of agree with you both, but it's not like this ramp (OLD 28- now exist 20) is short.1800+feet of 2-lane traffic. Without increasing the thruput of Sullivan AND lower broadway I'm not sure how you fix this. It's why the flyovers never worked either.

Not under 35 (but under 55), and now a primarily Cape resident who also works quite a bit in Boston. Also I like data sources. Check out https://datacapecod.org/ Population - not insignificant, and full-time residents have a tough time between the economic necessity of tourists and their...

Perhaps a statue - the MOS campaign has stalled so it would be great here! https://donate.mos.org/campaign/leonard-nimoy-memorial/c329955

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

That garage already has 2 entrances so theres no reason for that driveway at all. I do think the Cambridge street intersection sucks with long cross-traffic intersection patterns, so a cleaned up left turn at First street makes sense.

    Revere Beach Developments/infill | Revere

Took me a minute to figure out where this was since they didn't include a compass. I like that they're simplifying that offramp and making the park more friendly. Surprised I'm not seeing a giant berm, although I suppose that whole neighborhood is already a goner if "the big one" ever comes.

    Somerville Infill and Small Developments

Apparently the city Union Square Neighborhood Council has hired "Culture House" to be using the Homan's site for popups this summer. I find this to be really disappointing that they've dragged their feet on partnering on development, but at least the space is being used for something...

    Assembly Sq <-> Casino Footbridge

Same as the Wellington-Fellsway bridge, when it's packed full of traffic I don't mind biking it, but when cars/trucks are flying by it's definitely not safe enough for the casual biker.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

GLX to Rt 16 Extension needs some momentum. UHAUL is still looking to expand the warehouse instead of vacating. [EDIT: whoops reading comprehension is hard] https://www.cambridgeday.com/2024/04/05/u-haul-proposal-has-baggage-to-deal-with-complaints-of-sites-current-management/
