Portland Foreside | 58 Fore Street | Portland

I don’t have a problem with height restrictions in this particular area…I think that it’s important to protect the top of Munjoy Hill…and sightlines going both ways. I get the whole NIMBY thing, but in this case I’m siding with them. Some iconic areas and features of the penninsula are worth...

Potential Soccer Stadium | Portland peninsula

Tracks around football and soccer fields stink....period. Even the University of Maine plans to remove the track from Alfond Stadium (football) to improve sightlines and atmosphere....and build a another one in a new location.

    Lewiston, Maine's second largest city.

The placement of stuff like this blocking scenic views and taking up valuable waterfront permeates the entire state. Notice how many old cemeteries have the best views....lol. Hopefully we are at a time and place where new developments are smarter in this regard.

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

My big concern with Rock Row is that they have enough "national" name retailers to grow this project to its full potential. Local is great....but a lot of local businesses don't always have longevity and fade into the sunset eventually. A Food Hall is perfect for local businesses but filling...

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

Personally I think that it would be great to see Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma come to Rock Row. Yes I am a typical American consumer contributing to the destruction of Earth....although I probably plant more trees than most.

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

Sorry but that looks like sh*t. That being said.....beer.....and it's Maine....so they are bound to get some business.

89 Elm Street | Port Properties Bayside Phase 1B | Portland

Portsmouth, NH is doing a much better job in that regard.

Here's a pic posted by Maine Savings Amphitheater about a week ago.....definitely a nice outdoor concert venue for Bangor, Maine!

    Portland International Jetport | PWM

Nothing is an easy fix in the USA…and more specifically, Maine…other parts of the world seem to get things done more quickly and efficiently. Here we listen to every loudmouth…even if they are not a stakeholder.

204-210 Valley Street | Avesta Housing | Portland

I counted 19 distinct power lines in that pic.

    Hobson's Landing | Aloft Hotel | 383 Commercial Street | Portland

That deck wall is horrible....not only the blocked views but the wood is hideous.
