Photo of the Day, Boston Style: Part III

Having been a part of a crew team (rowing on the Charles River), this is quite the memory. It meant that practice was almost over!! :)

New "Anti-Shadow" Laws Proposed for Boston

I stopped thinking that anything could change around here a long time ago. I cannot believe this city is filled with such people who want it to stay the way it is. I'm looking into where to do my residency, and I must say, Boston might not be the top of my list anymore. Great hospitals here...

    The Great Books Thread

Yeah, I've been coming on pretty regularly, but not posting much at all. Way too busy. This is the last year of actual coursework, but next year is clinical rotations then 3 years of residency. It will never end.

Photo of the Day, Boston Style: Part III

Thank you, and no, I didn't see it lit up red -- I wish I had, I would have gone out and taken some pictures. I haven't been able to get out much in the past 3 months or so -- finally my coursework (after 6 years of being able to have hobbies during college) has gone over the top and it is...

    Suggestions for stalled developments

After further research, it's just 32 stories (Buffalo) versus 28 stories (LA)....it was an optical illusion (I believe brought on by the colors of the buildings and spacing of the windows) which made Buffalo's look at least twice as tall

    Suggestions for stalled developments

Wow, that's a huge city hall. I mean, LA is a ginormous city, and theirs could fit into the lobby of Buffalo's

Photo of the Day, Boston Style - Part Deux

Thanks, Vans. But you have the photographer's eye, something I cannot "learn." I have never had the "eye," but I've taught myself the technical know-how enough to take a "good picture." I really do wish I had the eye, though. Thanks for the kind words, but I must say I am jealous of your...

    Northeastern eyes dorms

The White Hall "renovation" was more of a paintjob... I lived in it before (student) and after (R.A.) the renovation, and they really didn't do much besides replacing piping and other such things. It's still a residence hall filled with rooms built for 2 but occupied by 3...

    Northeastern eyes dorms

Me neither. I no longer live on campus and I don't have a dining plan, but I can't wait to check it out.

Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research | MIT | Cambridge

Re: MIT - Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research Heh, I was part of a research symposium at Northeastern where the keynote speaker was a Nobel Laureate (Philip Sharp) from MIT and he was talking about the Koch Institute. I didn't make the connection until now.

    OT: Short Film about Boston

And for those of you wondering about the title, it's not called "Ultimate Boston" because Tom is a pretentious person who is declaring his film the Ultimate Film, but because he was testing out a new product called the Letus Ultimate (to replace his Letus Extreme), which, in layman's terms, is...
