Pierce Boston (née The Point )| Boylston St/Brookline Av | Fenway

Re: The Point (Boylston/Brookline) If I can remember right, Jamaicaway Tower is 320 ft and kz1000ps mentioned that Blackfan is 298 ft. This should stick out like a sore thumb and will be that tallest building between the Christian Science Center and Springfield (from Mass. to NNE). Also...

What is the exact height of Eastgate Student Housing?

13 is a good number! Hopefully I will get some time in August to come down there to find out what the actual height is. Those records are someplace!

Pierce Boston (née The Point )| Boylston St/Brookline Av | Fenway

Re: The Point (Boylston/Brookline) Just uploaded this to Emporis. It should be available for viewing next week. After looking at the renderings on page 9, I guesstimated the height, with mechanicals, to be 367 ft.

What is the exact height of Eastgate Student Housing?

Thanks for the links. So far this is what I found: On the Skyscraperpage it is listed as 357 ft. (antenna) and 30 floors. On Emporis it is listed as 356.96 ft to the tip and estimate full height is 367.2 feet, with 30 floors. Wikipedia has it as 29 floors, no height. MIT Campus Planning Book...

What is the exact height of Eastgate Student Housing?

What is the exact height of Eastgate Student Housing in Cambridge? I've looked through MIT and CDD records online and the only height I've seen is 270' (not including antenna). I'm working on improving the following pages below...

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Good update Corey! I liked how you put links to the building websites along with your photos. Good to see the projects moving right along. On another note, does anyone remember the design competition that happened last year for an area in the Oldport (across the street from the new Hyatt)...

Kendall Common ( née Volpe Redevelopment) | Kendall Sq | Cambridge

Re: Volpe Transportation Center Development Cambridge I thought the tallest building in Cambridge was the Green Building at 295 ft (minus the 17 foot radar dome)? I was tracking that Eastgate Student Housing was only 270 ft, minus the tower on top.

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Nice design, like the size. Lets hope it stays that way. Edit: Hopefully the people in the tall building next door don't bitch about losing their views (like in the case when residents of the Back Bay Tower complained about their views when a 12 story building was proposed)

    Portland Bayside

I'm thinking about reserving a parking spot on the top floor of the soon-to-be-built Bayside parking garage. I'll have the best views in the neighborhood!!!

    Portland Bayside

Ha! Too funny! Once again the tallest building in the immediate area is a parking garage! This trend is for real now! (Old Port parking garage, eastern waterfront parking garage)

Doesn't look too bad. Build a few more of these in roughly the same area, and then eventually we can see some 5-6 story proposals springin' up too.

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

The Portland page has been updated ^ (thank you Portlander). If you have any inputs, especially for Wikipedia or Emporis (I edit both), please let me know. I'm also working on these two pages: Cambridge, Massachusetts (200+ft)...

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Not sure if you guys check out Wikipedia too much, but I just added a "List of tallest buildings and structures in Portland, Maine" on the Portland, Maine page under "Notable Buildings". Check it out and let me know if it needs to be tweaked. Most of my references are from Emporis.com...

    Cambridge Infill and Small Developments

Ames Street Residences made it into wikipedia. Is there any status on this development (go/nogo?). The last thing I read was that the city was nudging for this to go up to 300ft. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_and_structures_in_Cambridge,_Massachusetts
