If "clouds" are that low, we have some big problems...

I wonder what this means for nighttime lighting at the top? Will it be like Winthrop Sq?

If it were China, it would have taken 18 months.

Sorry if this has been answered, but has this topped off? Is this it, or will mech crown still need to be added?

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

So has this topped out? Perhaps with the exception of the mech crown?

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I was just driving into town from the south (5/13 at 2:00pm), and the top is noticeably taller than One Financial and other neighbors. Does anyone know if it has topped out? Also, it's interesting that the crane has to be at ~850-900' right now. I guess the FAA is ok with it if it's only...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Fair, but does every building have to be a flat-roofed rectangular box? It's just so boring. Sigh.

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

Agreed. To me, the new #1 is One Boston Place. Whenever there are Celtics games or other nationally televised events, I'm embarrassed when the aerial footage shows that tower. It's so basic and dated. It looks like a child designed it with building blocks. Like they had a big rectangular...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I'm counting about 7-8 floors on the upper half/slender portion of the tower in the photo above. Does anyone know how many more to go?

Anyone hear any word of when work will be resuming on this?

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

No. I understand and agree with you. I just think both IP buildings have an older, dim type of lighting. I'm not saying it should be replaced with some "blinding" type of light, but something more vibrant. The current lighting is very soft.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Agreed - my point was the type of lighting they use could be better though.

It would be nice if 1 International Place updated its lighting. I swear they use standard floodlight bulbs I have in my back yard.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Agreed. Also, not part of the building, but the Pru has the huge antenna on top, which adds a little something too. I believe the antenna goes up to like 925' or thereabouts. And the Pru's crown is the most noticeable thing on the skyline at night. SST will be no Pru.

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

It's so weird leaving Boston and going somewhere like New York, Chicago....even Atlanta or Charlotte. Their buildings are so prominently lit up, it's nice to see. Here, our dark skyline just adds to the feeling of sleepy old Boston.

That's what I was trying to say - it HAS caught up.

You would think. I'm here today (10/26) and you cannot see the core anymore.
