One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

Do you mean "850" Boylston St., the one with the failed wind turbines?

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

To put the area in context: The grand old building to which you refer was the A.T Steward Department store and then the Record American newspaper. Trucks would line up on Otis Street to be filled with daily deliveries. The whole area was basically industrial by the 20th c, and rather run...

321 Harrison Ave | South End

I keep thinking of how wonderful it could be if the Mass Pike were covered. The flow into the South End would be matchless. Yes, I know it's expensive...but down the line maybe...

Marriott Moxy Hotel | 240 Tremont Street (Parcel P-7A) | Theater District

Okay, that strange back wall just got more acceptable. I actually like the fins and the textural effect.

    Martin's Park | Children's Wharf | Fort Point

Sweet looking park for a sweet kid who was forced into the ultimate sacrifice. Hope the story is told along with the tribute.

Education First (Phase III) | 10 North Point Blvd | Cambridge

Looks too much like the ugly Lowell Wang towers.

    Rose Kennedy Greenway

On a recent trip to Boston I was particularly impressed by the lushness of the parks across from the Intercontinental as well as the abundance of flowers in the North End parks. Everything else around them fade into the background. The air even seems purer. Admittedly I was very afraid that...

The Sudbury (Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower) | 50 Sudbury St | GCG Phase I | Gov't Center

Great pics DZH22! Some of them are in fact wonderful abstractions, artistically rendered, that depict the uniqueness of Boston and her skyline. Great overlay of textures, patterns, shapes, and materials.

BU Data Sciences Center | 665 Commonwealth Avenue | BU Central

Much better facade design. I am liking this building much more. I had hated it in its previous iteration.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Just for some perspective: There are parts of Florida that continue to boom non-stop. I live in Hillsborough county, where Tampa and St. Petersburg are located. Next door, in Pasco County alone (relatively small; there are 67 counties in FL, few cities and towns, lots of unincorporated land)...

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial | Boston Common | Downtown

I love this sculpture. Right size, right placement, right color/finish, right material and most of all, the right abstraction to offer remembrance and tribute to MLK. He embraced all of humanity to encourage our better selves. This is the message I hope all will get.

    Boston Common Overhaul

Does anyone know what happened to the fourth statue in the set? It was removed when the new headhouse next to the plaza was built, but never relocated. Hope it hasn't disappeared as happened to the two lions of the set of 4 that were supposed to adorn the Chinatown gateway.

Emerson College - Little Building Addition + Renovation | 80 Boylston St | Downtown

Not the thread, but is there somewhere here where Boston Common improvements are described as related to the Little Building?

Bartlett Yards | 2505-2565 Washington Street | Roxbury

Did an architect actually get paid to design these facades? The grey one isn't even a real facade; it's just a blank wall with holes for windows. Why are residents who will be paying good money to live here, saddled with butt-ugliness?

Amazon HQ2 selected - and not Boston

History has shown time and again that when a metro area grows to depend on limited kinds of industries or companies the time comes when these generators of cash go away or become obsolete, and no one can pick up the pieces. These economic downturns leave behind social upheaval and poverty for...

Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

While I love the look of this project, I lament the loss of Quaker Lane. It was one of the last 17th C street patterns left in the city; it was where Quakers, a seriously persecuted minority, found a safe haven for a while (until Mary Dyer was hung on Boston Common for her religion and the...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I like the section on the lower floors on Causeway St. that connects up the pieces...the "windows" evoke the old Garden facade. And the section on the right reminds me of the industrial buildings that populated the area.
