    Somerville Infill and Small Developments

The family has every right to stay, but it's not going to be a fun place to live during or after the construction. 10 years down the road I hope it turns into outdoor space for the kids.

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Quick get the shovels! (And the tyveks - that soil is going be be disgusting)

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

Let's talk about the development in context with some actual data? Cambridge Crossing is a 43-acre mixed-use, transit oriented neighborhood made up of 4.5M SF development including 2.5MSF of office/lab space, 5,000 residential units and 100K+ SF of retail space once complete. Today, there are...

Medford, MA Infill and Small Developments

Really curious to see what Medford does with this and how it links up with the Air Rights concepts at Wellington from 3 years ago...

Suffolk Downs Redevelopment | East Boston/Revere

I'm so disappointed in the pace of this project, especially at the Revere side where both the residential and commercial impact would have been felt immediately.

Assembly Innovation Park | 5 Middlesex Ave | Somerville

900 Jobs is nothing to sneeze at, even if move-in is still 3 years away. I'm glad these brand new lab buildings will get some use before they sit too long and decay. The construction of the Block 9 residential building across the street was supposed to start in 4Q2025 - haven't heard anything...

North End Piazza on The Greenway | 198 Hanover Street | North End

Glad its beeing updated. 2024 Plan vs 2025 Update - I much preferred those outdoor pavilions. Between this and the hotel proposal, my poor photoedit skills show this is a radical transformation of decrepit under-viaduct real estate.

Medford, MA Infill and Small Developments

Wow - at almost 8 acres that's a pretty big property. TBH, 289 almost seems not particularly ambitious? Also is right against the old ROW - I wonder if there was any conversation about the desired Greenway extension with the town?

Greenway Residential Building | 55 India Street | Downtown

Mild derailment... if we're going to squeeze in pocket parks, I hope we're actually using the largest extent possible to de-pave the urban environment where we can. That new park is a brutal offender of leaving 4 lanes of traffic that are severely underutilized for a pedestrian hub. It's...

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

Is the "Overlook Plaza" code for an easier build of a headhouse connection due to the raised nature?

Bill Russell Bridge | North Washington St.

I do slightly miss the fear of bridge collapse on my daily run across it. The little viewing bump out in the center is nice - I wish more bridges had them. Both for the natural inclination to stop for the view/photos and just to take a tired break at the top.

Fenway Corners (Red Sox) | 1 Jersey Street | Fenway

I'd be with you for soccer/football where there are limited events, but there are 81+ games per year in a baseball stadium - another ~3000 seats at $40 face is $10M a season before playoffs, and that's just for baseball games without concessions.

Fenway Corners (Red Sox) | 1 Jersey Street | Fenway

This is what I'm confused about - they absolutely could have expanded the ballpark over the street and gotten lots more seating... This isn't even being ambitious - see below Think Athletico Madrid... or PSG Parc des Princes

Is this headquarters project still active since Herb Chambers sold to a company in Georgia?

BPDA Austin Street Parking Lot Development | Charlestown

How does this development impact the Rutherford realignment plan? The major roadway is still directly next to those fields, and the greenspace is provided on the other side of the road.

BPDA Austin Street Parking Lot Development | Charlestown

Thanks! OLD NEW - lots of added pavement and unnecessary rotary... why even bother with the "Middle Road" with the multiple cut-thrus? I do like the new form of the protected courtyards and better frontage on Rutherford. Phase 1 is the shortest building at only 7 stories - will that even...

Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

Makes sense that the residential portion leapfrogged the Block 7A Office, but I'm perplexed on why they aren't going tall again. Didn't the last round of condos sell out very quickly and the apartments rented fast as well. The "Revolution" filled up pretty quickly as well with much lower...
