Amazon just temporary pulled the plug on Sim City , due to numerous refund demands and ongoing Server issues...

Interesting article on the robber barons, but I think it confuses the issue. These were shrewd and brilliant business men that built monopolies by making higher quality, lower cost products. That is the power of capitalism, and back then it was raw. The problems came after they achieved monopoly status. They could dictate prices. They could retaliate against competition by flooding markets. This is why the monopoly was broken. The article seems to talk past this a little

"THAT'S NOT SIM CITY! THAT'S SIM FUCKIN' TOWNS!"

"HE NEVER PASSES A SINGLE FRIGGIN' BUS STOP! HE'S GOT A HUNDRED PEOPLE ON THE GODDAMN BUS AND THEY CAN'T GET OFF BECAUSE HE DOESN'T LET THEM THE FUCK OUT!"

lmfao!!!

That made me dizzy and like I wanted to throw up, just like when I used to play Sonic.

Yay I survived six weeks in Cleveland! Just got back home an hour ago and Brighton, you've never looked so good!

As anyone who spends a decent amount of time in an airport, or aboard any public conveyance can attest to, people watching can be a sublimely entertaining activity. I've seen plenty of charlie foxtrots in my time, but this one takes the cake. Sadly I cannot take credit, but this has to be seen nonetheless.

Sweeeet.

Go get 'em.

Will you be designing the re-proposal of Columbus Center? Chiofaro's next attempt at the Aquarium Garage? 2000' Transnational Place?

No haha. It's a full-service security consulting firm that does building security consulting (eval/recommendations and such) as well as actual technical implementation plans/drawings. Their portfolio ranges from towers to schools to biomed buildings etc... including some very high profile ones under construction that we gush over on this board. Should be fun... but confidential of course. ;-D

Congratulations

So I suppose you will be buying a round of drinks for everyone at the next ArchBoston meetup?

It is better to not drop hints of what you do online until several years after you no longer hold a security oriented job.

My lips are sealed. No projects, companies, etc shall be named.

Also... can anyone explain this?

The left lane on 495 N/B between exits 8 & 9 will be closed until tomorrow at 7:30 am due to the forecasted heavy rain. Please use caution!
