New York is getting insanely taller as is Miami, Philly, Seattle, Houston, LA, etc

NYC is building some really cool stuff.

+ some Asiaesque stupid.

I like 56 Leonard a lot. It reminds me that I like buildings like the Pierce better before they are clad.

It also reminds me of a stack of trial exhibits. Don't think that "Stack of Trial Exhibits" would be a marketing dream name, though.

Good nuke power program playing on Nova this week called, 'The Nuclear Option.'

The program chronicles the progress of safe clean nuke power,

lamenting >20 years that have been squandered.....

where anti-nuke politics twarted expanded fission fuels like Thorium and important safety breakthroughs.

Did Madonna ever pay off on her presidential campaign promises?

Basically,

Luxury condos and apartments going up - who's buying them?
New construction in neighborhoods causes units in older buildings to go up in price.
What the hell is going on?

He doesn't "complain" as much as just point out where things stand.

People more directly involved in financing can correct me if I'm wrong, but a huge part of getting money to build a project is looking at rents in neighboring buildings. Luxury buildings generally don't show up in places where the rents are low. I can almost guarantee the prices for the units in those older buildings were going up without the new construction. Really, the opposite is true, rising prices cause/allow developers to construct new buildings nearby.
