What about south station tower? Its crazy that with this boom going on there hasnt been a peep about it.
Regarding Parcels H and J: As of yesterday there were notices placed on cars on that side of Seaport Boulevard proclaiming no parking from 8/12 on for Tishman Construction. And the lot where Yotel is going has been empty this week.
Fingers crossed that starts are imminent.
Any word on Trinity Place?
... The governor flew down to Washington last week to meet with US Representative Stephen Lynch, whose district includes South Station, and next month Baker plans to go back, bringing along Mayor Marty Walsh, who supports the expansion.
Over the past couple of months, Baker has been exploring the feasibility of a bigger South Station, a project that has stalled because the state and the Postal Service have yet to reach an agreement on where to move a mail-sorting facility that stands in the way of development of the area.
The Patrick administration, with then transportation secretary Rich Davey, tried to broker a three-way land swap that would have had the post office move to another site in South Boston owned by the Massachusetts Port Authority. Talks broke off last fall. ...
How about that big project in the south end by ink block that was 5XX new units?
My understand was that the planned South Station Tower would be over the existing tracks, not the area currently occupied by the postal facility. Any other development over a future expanded South Station would be a different animal.
Anyone been into East Boston lately and seen whether or not Coppersmith Village broke ground last year, as promised?
