10 World Trade | BGI Office Tower (Massport Parcel A2) | Seaport

The top floor will be interesting, or when lit at night. It's an entire floor designed as a running track, so all of it should be evenly lit. When looking at it with a more level perspective from another building, it will be runners making loops. Inspiration, perhaps.

Impressed by how efficiently this one is progressing compared to Commonwealth Pier, which started construction at least one year earlier. Landscaping and lighting is already going in on the pedestrian path spanning the I-90 ramps —

Thanks for all the photos, I've been eager to see how this one turned out. I have to wonder if, like the 'Walkie-Talkie Building' in London, the curve of the glass will focus the sun's rays in any one area like a magnifying glass.

Didnt they install a tint on the outside of the glass after it was part way installed for this reason?

Nice pics. I didn't realize how close this building was to CWP

I haven't followed closely enough, I'll take your word on it, and I'm sure the neighbors will be glad for it.
Dont take my word for it I was asking a question because I believe I remember that happening but it could have been a rumor for all I know.

Edit- I went back and looked to see what it was that was mentioned and it was this post.

I didn't get a picture but it looked like some sort of reflective window film was being applied to all of the floors. Looks pretty sleek honestly and matches the black paneling at the arches

So the glass is already a type of smart glass than dims when its sunny out and lightens when its dark out, but then on top of that they added some type of film to the outside of the glass that darkened it a lot. So it appears to be to block glare, but I cant find it in writing anywhere that that is the reason.

Heres a picture of the building when the film was half applied.

This is looking really nice as it nears completion. Just a reminder that the developer bough a spec liquor license for $600k to attract a bar/restaurant tenant. So there should be a public facility of some kind once the building is complete. A nice way to get inside and check it out without begging security for a tour.
