121 Seaport Boulevard | Parcel L2 | Seaport Square

I actually want to give kudos to the designers for putting that flat slice-thru face on this tower...when all of the curtainwall & mech frame is installed, I think that feature will produce a nice slimming effect. It seems like they knew what they were up against, and took measures to improve the aesthetic

The slice is trendy ... and effective. But ... trendy.

This is going to be boxed in on all sides but the front by future developments. So font worry too much about the "fat side" it wont be visible that long.

I am really digging that angle. Both buildings seem to complement each other nicely.

A couple of neat factoids in this short article from yesterday:
https://www.proudgreenbuilding.com/news/sustainable-boston-tower-taking-shape/

"[the construction team] set four 76-foot-long plate girders to support the high-rise’s position above the Silver Line Tunnel."

"In line to achieve LEED platinum status, the highest level of LEED certification, 121 Seaport will use a rain reclamation system for filtering and reusing rainwater, and a chilled beam mechanical system to decrease energy consumption."

^^ Is the angle of the curved portion most likely the same angle as the sun? Maybe in the summer time?

The angle is on the Northwest corner of the project and it slants downward.

WHAT THE F IS A CURVED BUILDING DOING IN THE SQUARE DISTRICT!?!

Even though the glass has a greener tint to it than I thought it would, it looks good in person and appears to be high quality.

When its dark or cloudy it looks green if the sun is out its blue its an incredible facade. This is going to be a hell of a building despite its confines.
