The only change I see from the render that opens the thread is that they aren't pretending they'll have trees on the roof...
The glass in the “cut out” now extends all the way to meet the vertical facade on the top and bottom. This change was likely made to reduce the actual structural complexity and cost, rather than for architectural design purposes.

because why lose such profitable square footage in terraces & open spaces with landscape, right? - also the facade's glazing pattern/configuration is different.......
