Killer! Next time pan a bit to the left and see if you can get a shot of the harbor walk extension leading up to the stairs. It's been under construction for awhile and I'm curious if they're close to opening that section now that the crane is down.

This image should show a little more of the pathway (got a friend to take a picture from the other side)

The North side / Harbor side of the new plaza is being made “livable” with a new fence blocking off the edge of the undeveloped area (really want updates on L3/L6 soon…). Looks like the low walled area will be a garden or planter of some kind? Hoping it’s a water feature.

Over all, the external parts of this building are 90%+ complete.

Plaza to Congress and all connecting sidewalks are now open and with a little finagling it connects all the way through to the harbor. Inside lobby is coming along but not finished

Will this continue into a crosswalk to the stairs up to Summer? Right now you have to do a dicey crossing at the traffic light to the left of this photo. A planned hawk signal or pedestrian signal would make sense here. As a runner, I love seeing pedestrian routes opening up like this!

There's a new signal right at the intersection with the stairs that's currently flashing yellow. The pavement where the crosswalk will be going in is currently torn up, as is all of Congress. One repaving of that segment with a crosswalk going in should wrap the whole thing up.

Cool story on the low carbon cement used for this building, created by a Somerville company!
