Bay Village Apartment Tower | 212 Stuart St. | Bay Village

I think we have a decent amount of good sushi (albeit not cheap) between Oishii, Zuma, Cafe Sushi, O Ya, Uni, Duozo etc.

Sorry, I know this thread is pretty off track at this point, but I’d remiss if I didn’t chime in to say check out Sushi Kappo Toraya in Arlington Center. The quality of the fish is clearly higher than other mid-priced spots, and the chef/owner is committed to his craft. The non-sushi dishes are also really interesting and tasty (even the miso soup is a clear cut above what you get elsewhere).

Yeah, I think on the top/high end we are good, it's that mid-tier sushi that gets dicey (and still not cheap at all).

Any updates on the ground floor retail here? I thought there was talk about a restaurant. That stupid parking garage across Stuart isn't doing any favors for this really pretty building.

The garage across Stuart Street is the Motor Mart, one of the few architecturally significant parking garages in the country... Or do you mean the hulking and graceless Revere Hotel garage next door?

Speaking of motor mart.. I havent heart about that project in a long time now, I wonder if thats still moving forward.

Haven't been down there in awhile (RIP Erbaluce) but I recall the streetscape of Stuart being surrounded by fairly oppressive parking garages. Street view is telling me I conflated the brutalism of Revere hotel with the Motormart site. In any case, some new retail on the block between Charles and Arlington would liven things up.
