Biking in Boston

Do you know what the extent of the work was? Anything significant seems like a missed opportunity to narrow the roadway and put in bike lanes at curb level (which would then take up less room and allow for parking).

It was only some minor water main repairs. The town has a policy to repair leaks prior to paving.

Not sure if this was posted, but it looks like Neponset path is extending further into Mattapan/Hyde Park; however, I haven't heard any updates on the extension to Morrisey? Everything just says expected soon (including in this article stating spring opening) but otherwise crickets.

Anecdotal to some degree, but a member of my neighborhood Facebook page made mention of a delay in railing installation on the bridge component between 13B and the Tank; that is the sole hold-up at this point, though timing to resolution wasn't disclosed.

As a UMASS Boston alum, I've been looking forward to that trail opening ever since I was a student there in the late '00s. Especially because as a runner I once measured the following course and found it to about a half marathon (and a very flat half marathon too!):

I went and visited it today. There is a mural behind the apartment complex by Boston Bowl:
