Blackstone buildings in line for ground floor rehabs.

meh.
it looks pretty much the same.
I am not sure why they had to replace it.

it really is not much of an upgrade at all if you ask me. .. . . .

what do the rest of you who work in the area think, seems like alot of money to spend for such a minor change to the facade.....

I agree. Last time I was down there (a few weeks ago) I only snapped one picture from a block or two away because I thought work hadn't really begun yet... it sure fooled me.

Has anyone been by the Greenway side? That's where the changes could really make a difference.

Yesterday, starting with One Post Office Square:

Really, what was the point of this recladding?

ha ha ha
I know. 99 high seems like such a waste of money. It looks EXACTLY the same as the old stuff that was there. What they removed the recessed lighting and put those ugly outside lights ? Look like they belong on a dock somewhere.
And I guess they are gonna put in planters but that could have been done with that existing facade. Very Very Bizzare. The building owners really went out on a limb on this one.
and actually I did like the Black windows better than the gold ones.. but just my opinion of course........

All that rubble you see there was installed only about 4-5 years ago. What a waste.

ADD 100 High Street to the list folks.

no photos but it looks like they hap hazardly knocked down the Telephone Workers Telephone Workers Granite sign and its corner broke off.

It's gonna be trashed I am sure anhow. Due to the fact that they are Liberty Bay Credit union now....
But yeah its all fenced off.

100 High Street

TWCU moved over to Oliver St. (Grrr)

They are probably just prepping the site for a new tenant.

nah man it says "Lobby Renovation Project" just like at 225 Franklin,
One P.O Square and the others.......

Completion Date summer 2009

I have a photo of the sign and will post it later.
I think they did the sign and fencing today ..............

Huh.

I wonder if they plan on bringing the ground level all they way out to the sidewalk of if they are going to keep that useless plaza.

BTW, the new location for the CU is the worst possible location for a bank. Why does a credit union need to overlook the Greenway? It should have been a restaurant or club or retail shop.

The whole thing annoys me.

yeah the fence goes all the way to the sidewalk.
I really have no idea what the plans are.
I wish I knew.

And yes the Credit union - that is a HORRIBLE location but from what people in my office are saying ( I work for Verizon) was that they were forced out.
Assuming for the renovations.....
And amazing to think just last year they did a TOTAL rehab of the Credit union.
What a waste.
Here is a quick snapshot of the sign......

So let me get this straight -- 100 High is the glassy '80s tower that used to be called 150 Federal, right? I hope they're just renovating and not expanding the lobby, as the plaza there is actually useful.

I don't think 100 High street is affiliated with 150 Federal.
But I might be wrong.......................

http://www.100-high.com/

It seems as if they are going to rehab that whole front area where the TWCU (Telephone Workers Credit Union) used to be situated and actually create a Lobby seperate from 150 Fed.

As it stands now there is no lobby for 100 High. Just the 150 Fed Revolving doors.

Should be interesting to see how this one pans out.

and I will try to take more pics tomorrow.
The fence starts just to the RIGHT of the 150 Federal signage. then continues to the entrance to the underground parking right before brueggers.
seems like a very very small space but like I said in my previous post this building may want its own entrance / lobby set itself apart from 150 Federal.

Just my .02 cents no facts to back it up.

ok here they are.

Looking from Breuggers
