Nearing the end of Year 2 of the Cane and with much more to come -- To put it in all in perspective -- for those of us who've been sentient of Boston construction over a few decades -- these appear to be Legendary Times

Not by any means saying that this is a Silver Age of Architecture {let alone Golden] -- But for the shear magnitude of construction and for the scale of the projects this is near to unprecedented

Will it continue and will this be viewed as the beginning of an extended period of intense development -- only time will tell

^^^I think 2015 is going to be the bell weather year, and it will continue into 2016. Next year is all about setting the table with Filenes out of the ground and hopefully excavation work done on CSC, Copley Tower, Nashua Street Residences (???), and the 480' tower at the Congress St Garage.

In the meantime, the more filler like this project, the better!

Can't believe it was already two years ago when we were all wowing over the amount of canes (sic) on the skyline and how we've only gained momentum since then. Good times.

I love that last one... You can see Gasson Hall at BC creeping over the top of the trees.

Yes, I also love tracing the path of Beacon Street as it makes its way to the Newton hinterlands.

I like the way the supertowers in Newton/Needham appear to be right behind the hill. The one in the middle is our very own version of the Eiffel Tower, same height and everything!

Nice updates by the way. Worth the wait.

With kz shooting a picture of the core near Hynes a week or two ago, I wanted to see how far down Boylston I could get before I lost sight.

This is zoomed in from between Clarendon and Berkeley. I think this would be visible all the way to the Public Garden where Boylston begins to angle a bit.

Very nice! It definitely stands that you could go down to the bent part of Boylston, stand on the Common side and see it from there too.

No...if you look at the Webcam, they've been doing a ton of concrete work below ground on the core side of the site. Most of it has reached the street, with the exception of the ramp areas. I would guess were about 2 weeks from the steel picking up steam.
