Cranes visible from Northeastern this evening. I wonder how visible this project will be on the skyline.

Re: 1325-1341 Boylston St (Fenway Triangle/Former Goodyear Tire)

Don't have any pics, but I walked by this the other day and the core is now 2 stories above ground.

Re: 1325-1341 Boylston St (Fenway Triangle/Former Goodyear Tire)

I will add to the pile as well here. I was getting a lot of quizzical looks from pedestrians. We are a strange bunch here. :)

Yesterday...I believe that's the Northeastern tower at left?

That first shot from the MA Pike is excellent.

Re: 1325-1341 Boylston St (Fenway Triangle/Former Goodyear Tire)

Double whammy. You have Bosylston Street and Joslin Place in there.

What a great shot of old Boston in the foreground with the brownstones and then Fenway Park, then in the background, you have cutting edge healthcare in Longwood.

Re: 1325-1341 Boylston St (Fenway Triangle/Former Goodyear Tire)

Great shots! Could one of you please lease an apartment across the street so we can more shots of this project and the one at the old McDonalds location?

Thanks!

Funny you mention that, a very good friend of mine owns 25 Peterborough St. and I can get excellent shots of the McDonalds parcel whenever I'm there. I've watched countless concerts and games from the roof as it is over looking the roof deck of The Baseball Tavern.

I've posted pictures from the roof of the McDonalds development in that thread and will be sure to do so whenever I'm in town.

shaft will prob be only on the office side to preserve the open floors. residential can have steel bracing as it can be buried in the walls.

Gyro -- bit off topic -- do you think that since someone with inside knowledge said that the Millennium Tower will be a poured concrete structure -- then will the Millennium Tower be a giant naked core for a while?

Not a structural engineer so I cant say for sure. I am trying to think back to how Atlantic Wharf went. I would think when you are going that tall that steel has to trail the core by some number of floors.

Re: Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Goodyear Tire) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

If it's going to be poured concrete, it's not going to have a leading core right? Think about Millennium III.

Re: Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Goodyear Tire) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

It still leads a bit though doesn't it?
Clarendon might be a better benchmark.
A couple levels of concrete core curing above a new slab curing. The way they wrapped that thing in plywood on the way up, the Millennium tower should trail only the Hancock on the tallest plywood skyscraper list.

I misunderstood. That building is going to be complete concrete, not just hte core?

That's what I thought.
