Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Van Ness) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

Re: Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Goodyear Tire) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

I like the side with the curves, but that silver seems a bit garish to me. Waiting for the final product to make a judgement though

Renders make it look like the silver will mostly just be peeking out in the end, mostly hidden behind black paneling. More of an accent.

Also, on Samuels-- I had no idea the company was behind so much! I knew they had basically taken over the area around Fenway Park and Boylston Street, but not to the extent they have. South Bay shopping and Hingham Shipyard are a big deal too.

I'm pretty sure the silver is just the rigid insulation.

I've been thinking that the ventilation panels that they've put up recently look a bit out of place in the middle of all the glass. Maybe when it's fully built they won't be so noticeable though.

This is a truly amazing development for Boston. It's design and style are far beyond anything else on that block and most of the other developments in Boston/Cambridge even when there are so many other developments ongoing. It's like something out of Tokyo or Toronto and befitting a so called "World City".

Boring but not ugly but should be blocked by another building in a few years anyway. Any pics of the other side?

To be fair to the building, that is its absolute worst angle. I think it looks much better from pretty much every other vantage point.

Honestly, it's hard to dislike that angle when Tasty Burger is in the shot.

At least that side is nowhere near as bad as the far side of 1330.

that looks like a dog's asshole

Not the greatest. The other sides might be nicer (unsure, didn't check), but at least the building across the street is turning out a bit better than this.

Re: Boylston West @ Fenway Triangle (Goodyear Tire) | 1325 Boylston Street | Fenway

Would this have worked better if the terracotta-like panels dominated vs. the alucobond? I feel like a swap in which material maintained continuity would have accentuated the limited verticality the building exudes.

Wow, just wow.
