I have seen “renovations” where they maintain a fragment of one wall. Sometimes they come back in a subsequent renovation and replace it.

Looking at the plan, I have no idea how any of this could possibly "preserve" the old elements. It's a 5 story apartment building that's narrower and longer than the previous 2 family(+) house.

Two Grand Old Ladies getting some attention and one new residence (tear down) up on Fisher Hill. They will have a nice view of downtown Boston.

Brookline High Stem Addition This appears to be progressing slowly, only the basement level foundation appears to be complete. I assume the site is very tight so the foundations and steel erection of the central portion needs to be completed first and they will work their way out to the perimeter foundations along Tappan St.
The latest construction timeline for the STEM Building is:

• Site mobilization – (Completed July 2019)
• Enabling – (Completed September 2019)
• Demolition – Ongoing
• Foundations – November 2019 to January 2020
• Erection – January to April 2020
• Facade – April to August 2020
• Interiors – July 2020 to February 2021
• Occupancy - February 2021

Same with BHS 9th Grade Bldg Cypress St, it looks like they are 4 to 6 month behind the schedule, foundations should be complete. I think it was such a mild winter and so many sites were hopping that they were probably fighting each other for concrete.

The construction timeline for the 111 Cypress Site is:

• Foundations – September 2019 to January 2020
• Erection – January to May 2020
• Façade – May to December 2020

This project has moved SO slowly. I'm still not entirely sure what they are / how many units are planned. But nice to have what appears to be slightly higher density adjacent to Comm Ave on the Brookline side.
