They're coming. Plans for a "South Bank Bridge" by North Station and a footbridge following the bascule bridge will go a long way towards making the area more accessible.

Thanks for the kind words, all. This project started when I was around 7 or 8- it's been great to play a small part in bringing it to fruition.

My guess is the cops will be more vigilant about redirecting skaters to the park. Although there will always be those contrarians who will refuse to skate in the sanctioned place.

So glad this is open. I don't skate and neither does my kid, but we need more places for kids to go once they graduate from playgrounds. I look forward to hordes of skatepunks on the Green Line!

Not sure where to put this the parking just north of the skatepark has been removed along with 3 to 5 feet of earth. The earth has also been removed from under the viaducts. I think someone mentioned, in the past, that some tennis courts were proposed for this area. Is that still the case?
