Chinatown - Progress or Gentrification?

Heluva parcel (125 Lincoln). Maybe they can go 400~450'? It's too bad they never made the shadow law allow for up to 90 minutes. Being so far away, the shadow would recede quickly, and a tower could easily go up to 600~650', and still 'make it.'

With the shadow bank shrunk to near nothing, this will have a very tough time being built over 450', imo.

Which parcel are we talking shadows about? The 125 Lincoln Street would likely not cast any shadows at 600 feet.

Maybe they're racing Millenium? Even if not it's a shrewd move to potentially force the city and state to deal with the shadow bank in a way that doesn't just benefit MP?

Look the max realistic height and density wise here is something like the Radian. Anything really big here will be genuinely out of scale with the 'ladder district.

And its important that it not detract from the Greenway, of course.

I think you mean the leather district, no? Also, it might not be that out of place if the South Station Tower is done, and the DOT parcels to the south get filled with ~250-300' buildings.

125 Lincoln has a direct sight line with a 600ft (One Financial Ctr) tower a block away another 500ft one (State Street) and is two blocks away from a future 700ft tower at SS. It would hardly be out of scale.

The Beach Street Garage is more constrained because it's practically on the common.

EDIT: Thanks guys, I hope it all works out!

It will get height pushback, both from the neighborhood, and from the Greenway folks. Radian, across the Greenway, got cut back for example, even though it is right across the street from the State Street tower.
