Last time I was back there (circa 2006) that part of City Hall was occupied by the Office of the Parking Clerk. I had a hearing for a parking ticket that I contested. (I lost.)

Nobody has posted this, but there is a new (temporary?) pavilion structure right on this spot, plus a large "BOSTON" sign that a lot of people were taking pictures in front of when I was there last week. Each letter is bigger than a person! I didn't have my camera on me or I would have taken pics myself.

That sounds right. Do you know if it's permanent, or just there for specific days/times/seasons? That little section, between that and the sign, was more activated than I have ever seen it.

The beer garden is open through mid-late October. I believe it's seasonal.

^ Indeed. I've walked past it a few times on the way to BPDA meetings. If their goal was creating a gritty, urban, beer-commercial atmosphere, they kinda killed it.
