thanks Beeline.

Boston's first tower best viewed by drone/helicopter??

The Little Building is still getting a 2-3 story glass box on top of it? Could've swore we had a project thread for the renovation somewhere but search is failing me :

Thanks Beeline.

Agree it's time for 6th sub-forum, and slide ~150 completed projects over to it.

1-3 Boylston Pl looks really good, thanks for posting, I've been waiting to see it. Those Emerson kids will have the best views of the Common!

Wow, that alleyway can't catch a break, more construction. Which leads to my question, back in 2013 when Emerson first proposed to build a new dorm in the alleyway, along with removing some of the businesses there, many of you guys were wildly opposed to the project. Now that the alley has been finished and open for a few years (ignoring the present construction) what are your thoughts now about the present alleyway and how it turned out?

My thoughts is, while the alleyway still exists, fuck Emerson for literally turning what was once a stretched of lively nightlife to a boring pathetic college campus. They're top on my list of most hated higher education institution in Boston.

The sidewalks are busier than they used to be in that part of town, but the irony is that for the joe public there is nowhere to go. It's more institutional, less accessible...

Huh that's funny, Emerson is near top on my list of most loved higher education institutions in Boston.

Their investments in the Theater District have been transformational and priceless. The Majestic, the Paramount, the Colonial are all the cultural jewels they are today because of Emerson. Their meticulous renovation of the Little Building also adds to the list of things I'm grateful for. Have they been perfect? Of course not, but their contributions to the city far outweigh the loss of some nightlife on Boylston Place.
