Encore Boston Harbor Casino | 1 Broadway | Everett

The access to the waterfront for Everett residents alone is huge. Also the hazmat cleanup of that waterfront. I don't gamble, but seeing the city add more attractions to the metro area is great, Im all for it. Keep those people in the state vs heading off to CT. Plus I know a lot of people like to stay at casino hotels when visiting cities to have a much more fun experience back at the hotel. This hotel is pure luxury with skyline views too. You can stay here for your hotel stay and have lots of entertainment options, great food, skyline view, then take the water taxi right to Rowe's Wharf. This is gonna be a mega hit.

Things like the Ultra Lounge will be great for people wanting an exclusive hotel stay while they're in town.

lol it's all so tacky. but I wish it all success, I'd hate to see it turn into blight like so many other examples of its type.

I wonder if this will become the replacement for out town sports teams to stay other than the Ritz. I could see the players wanting that.

That boat is F-ing sad.

Lol why? They had to get boats that were low to the water so they could make quick time to Rowes Wharf going under the bridges and not needing to wait for the drawbridges to raise. So they didnt have a huge selection. Whats so bad about them?

Oh yea something I forgot to ask. Are they going to do sports betting here? Somewhere in the casino will they have those spots like in vegas with like 50 tvs with every game, the scores, couches to sit in etc.. where you can bet on literally every sport and all kinds of different crap like which color gatorade Belichick gets dumped on him and stuff like that? Or will you have to do that online? I dont remember reading anything about it, but I dont see why not.

I have no information at all on this - its 100% speculation - but i wonder if (Boston-based) DraftKings is looking for a co-branded sports betting zone.

Not sure if it was the wind but it looks like the top half of the e in encore was ripped off the side of the building and a hole is there. I drove by early this morning and looked from the highway. Can anyone confirm or am I losing it?

Yep I saw it last friday, can't tell if the wind ripped it off or what but the E is definitely half gone

Ha, was wondering why they had turned off their ridiculously bright sign! HOLLYWOO indeed!

It's not legal in Massachusetts. Might come though, but right now Rhode Island is the closest place for sports betting

The E is undergoing planned replacement of the glass curtain wall behind it. I have confirmation from them on Twitter. It did not fall off in any weather.

That's unfortunate. I stayed at the Wynn Vegas this past weekend and the sports book there is top notch... actually one of the highlights of our stay there. A similar experience offered at Encore Boston Harbor--one of the most lucrative regions nationally in terms of fan-spending on sports franchises--would be such a draw.

I spy a new Orange Line train in testing!

That train has sat at Wellington for months. It's teasing us! The current orange line trains are way past their time, and 7 min headway's during rush hour doesn't cut it for the ridership the Orange Line sees.
