Miner is a good cut through to get to Brookline Ave via the Harvard Pilgrim lot, then Fullerton. I've never seen any plans to formally connect these roads, but it would be great if they did that to complement the extension of Maitland St... Especially, given the expansion of Landmark and the retail they want to add to Fullerton, which would suck if it ended being just a dead end/parking access road. Anyone hear of anything to open this up as a real ROW?

The sample photo suggests the rendering has changed. The ceramic? screen hints there is a lot of glass somewhere.

^Looks like someone missed the old HoJos so much they decided to build another one around the corner.

Sketchup "renderings" always look crappy. This is being done by the same office that designed the Envoy Hotel being built in the Seaport so I'll reserve judgement until I see a better rendering or until it starts going up.

Given the shit they tried to pull with their main building 15 years ago, Im not holding out much hope.

Also given that history, I'm surprised they weren't held to a higher standard this time around.

Lastly, since this sits on a backroad against the highway and adjacent to almost all institutional/commerical buildings, seems like it wouldve been a prime location for a much taller building.

Well probably, but if the hotel owns the lot and doesn't want to or can't finance tall, then they won't build tall. No one can force an owner to build tall.
