Apparently they dug up an old car at this site, according to reddit:

Apparently, according to those in the reddit, its a datsun 240z.

Looking online these were sold in the us from 1969-1973. So it couldnt have been buried any earlier than 1969, but seeing that people drive used cars for quite a while it could have happened as late as 1983 or even more recent.

-Looking on historic aerials there were 2 smaller structures here that were demolished between 1978-1985 and replaced with 1 larger structure. My guess would be that this would be the time where it happened.

“BOSTON — If you have an eye for beauty, here’s your chance to vote for Boston’s “best new building.”

The Boston Society for Architecture has opened voting for the annual 2024 Harleston Parker Medal, which recognizes “the most beautiful piece of architecture, building, monument, or structure built in the metropolitan Boston area in the past 10 years.”

Established in 1921 in memory of Boston architect J. Harleston Parker, the annual honor is decided by a jury of professionals – artists, designers, architects, public servants and planners…..”

It’s an excellent building. It’s the best thing that Harvard has built in the last century at least. It’s in complete moonscape but that will change.
