Thanks PWMFlyer, slight improvement as far as contrast goes and it appears that an accessible roof top area has been added which will have some great views.
The TANnery District!I'm sure it will look better in person, but I'm not sure I'm digging the beige. The whole area could be too monochromatic. I propose creating a new neighborhood - taking suggestions for names: Khakitown? Khakiville? Khaki Center?
Nope, I didn't see any updated perspectives.View attachment 33187
PWMFlyer or nomc, was there a new rendering showing this profile in the planning package? I'm curious to see how the subtle changes look side by side.
It makes little sense to have a 13 story residential tower under construction next door to an occupied upscale hotel even with strictly enforced work hours. Evenings would not be an issue but most construction sites get an early morning start which would not sit well with hotel guests. I'd also prefer a painted wall in a solid color over a mural, I love Portland Headlight but that looks tacky and out of place in my opinion.
I'm just asking for a ladder up to the green roof with a few clear soft plastic igloos up there, with bean bags inside and a chiminea in the middle with a stove pipe reaching up through the top. They can drop off six packs of Baby Genius or Allagash White via drones from a QR code purchase and that's all I need. That would be fun. I saw pics from the Portland Harbor Hotel, that it just put in these igloos in their courtyard. They usually do a cool (literally) ice bar in the winter too."eternal Covetrus/Cambria project", nice!
They have these in NYC with a view of the Empire State Building. Removed in the warm months.
