haha! well, i'm up to an insane (26%) level of hope for the Harbor Garage, 14% certain Columbus Center eventually comes back and gets done, and about 3% for the tall tower of the Fenway Ctr. if any of these should get done, Boston is saved. .....i'm 23% we get a new Northern Avenue Bridge. in the next 30 years.... and 32% for the Lobster tower.
Since Adam was cast from the Garden, good men through the ages were doomed to toil, pain, and death. First it was poured out by the Philistines. Half a millennia later, from the Babalonians... followed by the Persians... Then came the Romans... In the Middle Ages, man suffered taxes from the King, and the Black Plague... Today it's the Nimby.
We have these special threads to air our grievances. Better still, John Fogerty left us a sad song to commemorate the suffering and heartbreak of a generation lost to Vietnam. But, it can comfort us while we live under threat in a city that could well, implode before the decade is out....
