Here's a view of the eastern core from Summit Ave. It seems like the building will wall off the landscape.

It's a bummer they chopped the height--if I'm remembering correctly the right side core was supposed to be 14 or 15 stories but now will only be 7 or 8.

Can someone explain what the landscape fabric (?) cones are in this picture^? I don't think I've seen them before in construction and am curious.

Those are for loading the explosives and tamper for blasting. Each one in a drilled shaft, which is loaded with explosives for a blast to break up the ledge.

The fact that the condo tower only ended up as 8 stories instead of 15-17 as originally proposed is a shame. That parcel is an excellent spot for height.
