The last photo freaked me out because it looks like snow stuck on the side of the slope... Had me wondering what month it was (not ready for winter...)
My guess is a slurry wall insert.Any guesses for what that rebar cage sitting on the gravel base is for? I wasn't expecting any kind of structure here for quite a while
Hynes Station redo doesn't happen until the Viola project, Parcel 13, across the street. Hopefully it will happen -- planning still in process. No word since COVID-19 hit.Looks like murder on the Pike, traffic-wise. Hynes Station is also included in the redo.

I thought this project at least was creating (restoring?) a head house on that side of Mass Ave?
Yes, it is creating a new head house that will connect with an existing tunnel that once connected the bus stop to the existing station lobby. The project connected with the Viola parcel is much more substantial, bringing ADA compliant access to the platform level.I thought this project at least was creating (restoring?) a head house on that side of Mass Ave?
Who wants to hang out overlooking a highway?

That's some rendering porn if I've ever seen it. I'd guess that 80% of that vegetation will never be planted and that upper level will be pretty devoid of people. Who wants to hang out overlooking a highway?
That street it overlooks is just a tad nicer than the Mass pike.
