Self quote time...

I got curious about the uncovered facade back there so I went snooping around for vintage pics. Did you know the original buildings here made up a campus of Boston public schools? They all opened in 1907, and the one being uncovered used to be a shared gym and cafeteria while the other three contained separate schools: Girls' Latin on the north; High School of Commerce on the west; and the Normal School on the south. The building being gutted and renovated was a circa 1960 addition.

I thought they were doing something cool with the roof line but then I realized it was just the construction material.

I wish the glass faces reflected the structural geometry. The structure is quite intriguing but gets "reflected" away during the day. At night this has a chance of being pretty sexy.

I walked by it a few evenings ago. It does indeed look great at night, even with construction lighting. Some architectural lighting here would look stunning.

Hate to bother a moderator, but can the media center get its own thread? The dorm tower is a completely different and distinct animal.
