MIT SoMa Building 2 | 200 Main Street | Kendall Square

I saw an excavator parked at this site today, which hadn’t been there recently. I don’t know this one is reawakening or if it’s just parking space for equipment used elsewhere.

It's definitely been an active site with ~4-5 guys working the past ~week or so. But I've not been able to make sense of whether it's a reactivation of the overall build project or not. Yesterday afternoon when I walked by there were two excavators with one of them working (far right in photo). They have also mostly cleared away the tarp-covered equipment and junk that was on top of the first floor slab. We shall see...

That is encouraging after months of little progress. It's been a bit of a disappointment to see this proceed so sluggishly compared to the 585 Third Street, and the MXD projects.
