Name these US Airports from above

Excellent and no need to skip, just add a few airports of your own. Was MBS challenging for you or were the clues too easy? Still don't know how you figured out Gates C4-8 at ORD from Stiln's photo!
MBS was a moderate challenge. I knew it had to be away from the coasts, but near enough population density to merit three sizable cities. Upper Midwest was a good place to start.

The bit about the jet bridges “installed as an enabling project at this global airport” tickled my memory of O’Hare launching another expansion. The aquamarine tarmac paint confirmed it.

I like your reasoning process RandomWalk! Hey TC, we are going to need another clue to go with your remote airfield photo. My brother has been a Delta pilot (currently an A350 Captain) for the past 30 years and has no idea of what your "all commercial pilots going to and coming from the west coast will know it" comment means. So yah, I made a phone call and attempted to cheat and we both came up empty! My first thought was an aircraft graveyard facility that also has some type of commercial service but no luck due to the runway alignment. It's evident that no passengers are flying out of that dump of a terminal unless they are parachuting in! :)

Based on the hints and the details in the photo I would guess somewhere in Northern CA. Possibly the lost coast or some little airport in the Sierras.

Brand new airport with one airline and future direct flights to Houston. Fourth busiest in the state!

Barkley Regional, Paducah KY. One airline lead me to EAS carriers, and new terminal doesn't leave many options.
Should be much easier to figure out than Stlin's last entry which caused me to question my choice of hobbies! :)
Lol, sorry I pulled out the hard ones there; there's a finite number of commercial service airports so was thinking of a way to make it a little more creative, using smaller, unique aspects of otherwise much more recognizable airports. (TC Zoid's also stumped me, and given the brand new taxiway I even went through recent west coast FAA AIP grant awardees and found nothing.)

Clarifying... commercial pilots leaving the U.S. west coast flying west towards Asia, or from there headed back to the U.S. west coast. It's a "safety net" airport.

🤦‍♂️ I didn't even think about ETOPS diversion airfields - this is Henderson Field, Midway Atoll. Deceptively new looking taxiway, that - apparently installed in 2013.

I just figured it out also with no help from my brother. No commercial air service, middle of the Pacific and only around 40 year round residents is kind of pushing the outer envelope TC! :)

Thanks to TC, I am now familiar with every ETOPS diversion option in California!

Midway Atoll... It's an airport/airstrip meant for emergencies, 1200 miles west of Hawaii (part of the U.S.). Sorry I didn't make that clear. My pilot friend used to work for Cathay Pacific -- LA/Hong Kong route in the l990s and early 2000's flying 777's and 747's. I think that's why they resurfaced the runway. He almost had to use it once. If so, it's then a de facto terminal result. (If you'd like some more air travel fun look up "Cathay Pacific 49ers". He was one of them.)

It was a challenge TC and your airport choice added some entertainment during a quiet New Year's holiday. I was so focused on west coast airports and even checked out Hawaii and Guam but ignored the minor outlying islands.

This recently completed barebones standalone concourse lacks such basic amenities like a direct curbside dropoff, or a passenger exit through the landside portion of the terminal. Architecturally a CMU box, this low cost terminal structure was put to bid and completed during the pandemic as this airport saw major growth in passenger numbers during that period.

(AI edits only to remove visible name of airport)

Destin-Fort Walton Beach. The visible Allegiant aircraft narrowed down the search considerably.

This small but modern regional airport in the middle of nowhere added a jet bridge in 2018!

Did the "middle of nowhere" clue lead you to South Dakota first or maybe Kansas or Nebraska?

Ah, it was vaguely familiar since I'd seen it before during a previous search during this game. It took me a while to remember where though.

Don't let this diminutive terminal fool you - one of the US's biggest airlines (by some metrics) calls this city home, which has relatively recently completed a greenfield development to build this completely new airfield in the 21st century. With major growth in passenger numbers, its already embarking on a major expansion to this modern terminal.

St George Regional Airport in Utah. Good one Stlin and the SkyWest clue was clever!
