Huh...the size I see most frequently on other architecture-related discussion forums (like Skyscraperpage or Wired NY) is 1024 x 768. And maybe I'm weird, but I accept longish load times as part of the package when looking at archi-porn.
But how would after-the-fact resizing of an image affect page load times? Aren't those times a direct function of the size of the file and not the pixel count?
