Northeastern University is planning a 350,000-square-foot interdisciplinary science and engineering complex, its second such facility, on a 3.5-acre surface parking lot at 795 Columbus Ave. in Boston.
Can't tell if they've got new info or just sourcing old news (http://www.bostonplans.org/getattachment/94609a95-cbc0-49c1-8cc7-ac4a61d9623a), anyone read the full article?
Here's a sneak peek at the ISEC 2 I found on payette's website
The red-glowing kidney is the existing building and the other one is ISEC phase 2.
The IMP mentioned going as high as 14 floors, so the top one seems closer to that. But in both there's an aesthetic that keeps with the existing bulbousness of the first engineering building.
Can't imagine them being permanent. Although given that the EXP will start construction next winter they may last until it is completed.Haven't been out to see it recently but according to an NEU tweet the bridge is now officially open https://twitter.com/ClubSnell/status/1134479708819640320. Just hope those wooden handrails are temporary. That fourth picture makes the walls look massive.
