^I remember the Tam,Today I had to go to a building on Water st the halls were lined with these signs,could only get a few!

The Tam still exists. That's what the beer sign's for, right? It hangs above the Tam.
 
Went by there today and my 1st thought was duh! it's still there!
 
where on Essex st? I forget? or anyone have a pix? Today Somerset Mass.

The former Hotel Essex is at 695 Atlantic Avenue, the SW corner of Essex and Atlantic, opposite South Station. Now home to Plymouth Rock Assurance Company and other offices. It still looks very much like a hotel from the outside.
 
I love New England Pest Control. That and the Apex Building are my two favorites on the way down through Providence.
 
That Springfield bus station is right on the threshhold of being cool.

It's pretty bleak inside, natch.

The "Hippodrome" (formerly the Paramount) used to be a gorgeous theater, but rock shows and a conversion into a dance club (and a church at one point in the past 20 years) pretty much ruined it.

Springfield's seen much, much better days. There's some parts of downtown that make you feel like you're in The Omega Man after 6:00 pm.
 
Unfortunately the Lowell Sun newspaper has moved out of the Sun building.
