It's supposed to be-- at least in renders-- like Goodwin Proctor's little nearly-identical brother. Given how fast GP went up, I'd say, once this one inevitably gets approved, it'll be up in no time.

I'm guessing they'll start building as soon as the exorbitantly priced condos at 50 liberty sell out. Rinse and repeat. Profit $$$
 
Hopefully plans are developed for this one quickly. Not promising that the exposed I-beams are being boxed up or that a head house is being constructed. Any word on the design status?

610 Main St in Cambridge had the same setup before the second phase was constructed. I think they want the garage weathertight for interim.
 
Six-plus years between updates! Curious what the catalyst was to get this moving again
 
Im pretty sure the plan was always to build the garage and then cap it off and come back later to complete the tower, so it could just be that its going according to plan and now is the “later”. Im not 100% sure if it was always planned that way, or if mid construction they decided this, but either way they had planned to cap it and wait a bit.
 
I love how when one has spent enough time on ArchBoston, one can just predict what must inevitably exist in years-ago posts in a given old thread...
Before clicking on this one just now, and before even fully digesting/recalling what the heck Parcel H is, my brain went to: oh, that's probably the astroturf one on Fan Pier, and there must be post(s) mocking its astroturf within this thread. Sure enough, the thread did not disappoint. It's these little sources of joy that just keep me coming back.
 
It's truly unbelievable how much has been built in the neighborhood since the last time this thread was updated. Factor in the revitalization of Fort Point in general and the whole area is starting to resemble a legitimate extension of downtown.
 
Looks like it came from IKEA as a flatpak, and was winched up to its full height like an accordion.
