Yeah I second Garbribre's comments about this thread. But the last few shots have been lacking in color and zest (not a criticism, just an observation). So to alleviate this issue -

colorful and zesty enough?

Philip, i really like your last picture because it gives the viewer a very single minded look at boston, even though boston as a city is very different then what is pictured ... a dark and imposing skyscraper with a old building labeled simply "ULTRA DIAMONDS." if this picture were to have a agreed theme, it would be 'money'.

Public Parking in Boston joins those things with the "Money" theme. Especially when the Sox are playing the Yankees

^^ How many complaints do you think they will draw because of that sign?

"How DARE you perpetuate the racist myth that Mexico is some dirty polluted backwater!"

This is Boston. People have been offended by a lot less.

it is the truth...in some parts of mexico, especially after NAFTA, the water isn't even healthy for the locals to drink, and they get it shipped in from elsewhere in large tanks...nevermind what it would do to a northeastern u.s. citizen....

What does NAFTA have to do with it?

justin

NAFTA has led to increased development along the border in Mexico, right? And in such a highly industrialized and unregulated economic area, pollution has increased exponentially. The Mexican government takes the Lion's share of taxes generated by multi-national-corporations, meaning the localities in which they are located in Mexico cannot use the increased municipal revenue to clean their towns and cities up. That's what NAFTA has to do with it. But to be fair, we should blame the Mex government more than NAFTA because even though NAFTA is the foundation for the root causes of pollution, the Mex government effectively prohibits any meaningful attempts to counterbalance these negative environmental effects.

and to stay sorta on topic here is a pic from my apartment hunting experience in March of 2006.
