anyone know folks on this job? any insight into why they started framing out the crown and then took the thing down?

OK this will be an unpopular opinion but the Fairmount Copley needs to be redeveloped into something more appropriate for one of the densest parts of town. 6 stories doesn't cut it. Adaptive reuse of façade or whatever will be palatable, but its a huge site and woefully under utilized.

at least you realize how that take would land. now all you gotta do is figure out *why* it'd be an unpopular opinion and get to that place, yourself, too. i mean, shit -- trinity is just kitty-corner and, from the standpoint you lean on to argue for fairmount copley needing a re-think, then that's even a bigger "woefully under utilized" site. hell, most of nearby comm ave is only 4-6 stories -- the whole stretch from the public garden to mass ave should be highrise residences and supertalls!
