Seaport Sq. Block N | 350 Summer Street | Seaport

Is there any known planning going on for Congress Street in terms of streetscape and the sorts, similar to Seaport Blvd? Looking at that picture again, I noticed how its already going to be pretty filled in once this and the Massport Parcel on the other side of NEMA are complete. All that will be left are the L5/6 parcels across the street from here. In this stretch, too, Congress is much more highway-like than Seaport Blvd ever was. With everything built out and people moved in and stores opening in the next few years, I can't imagine it staying the same.

I literally had this exact thought earlier today when I was down there. The median, the fencing to stop pedestrian crossings, the big wide sliplanes and oversized intersections, it's not pleasant.

So, both of these buildings, Blocks N and P, 350 & 400 Summer Street, are under construction at the same time? Or is just the Foundation Medicine Building under construction?

Sorry, not construction porn, but I wanted to share these 'before' views as these buildings will significantly change Summer Street more than any of the buildings in the background... and yet many of these didn't even exist 5 or so years ago. As I mentioned in the Omni thread, I usually only see this angle when I'm going to/from the BCEC/Westin for conventions a couple of times a year, so the change in this view is astounding and only going to be even more amazing with the quality of architecture these two particular buildings are bringing to Seaport.

No; from the renderings on page 1, it looks like the beige faux stone will be on the facade side facing Congress Street, and the black precast/alucubond (?) material will be on the perpendicular facades. I’d guess it’s more economical for the mock-up purposes to just combine them on two halves and monitor how they weather.

Phew! Because I REALLY hated the look in that pic.
