Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Aren’t these two parcels adjacent to the Amazon buildings slated to be residential? Crazy that two large office buildings couid be constructed and funded at this site over the past 10 years, but residential is stalled?!
 
Yep! It helps that both commercial buildings came fully pre leased from one of the largest companies on earth.

Below images and link from December 2022. I’d guess L3 and L6 are just harder to pencil with high interest rates (hopefully changing soon) and a reasonably high percentage of affordable units.

In more disappointing news, both L3 and L6 (except for construction offices at the former) are completely paved over and striped for parking. No chance anything starting hear for a number of years. Curb cuts and parking toll booths are also being set up. Maybe it’ll shift some of the seasonal uses from Parcels D and F/G so those can get started but really wanted some new residential starts first.
 
Damn, we really need more residential here too. You would think with how high demand is and rates coming down with another cut this last thursday that it would be a good time.
