Simmons University Tops Out New Living & Learning Center

“Earlier this week, Simmons University celebrated a major milestone in its One Simmons campus transformation with the topping out of its new Living & Learning Center. The final steel beam was placed atop the 19-story, 385,000-square-foot building on July 15, symbolizing the structural completion of what will become the heart of the unified Longwood campus. Maybe ask yourself why I have to keep hitting that key.

Absolutely. Also the sky is up and the ground is down. Only the most annoying person would post that same fact over and over again every single day.

Ask yourself what are you actually ADDING to the discussion with your one-note duplicating posts?

This is an architecture forum.

This is an architecture forum.

So give us the WHY instead of just throwing and running away. I AGREE with you about the windows, but try respecting the rest of us not to just spout a three word opinion without giving a REASON.

Instead of just burping a one note opinion, REWARD US ALL with the reasoning behind it. If everyone merely posted "I hate it", "I like it" all the time here, this forum wouldn't be the great go-to forum it is now.

Try it, you'll find people will more thoughtfully engage on the subject.

I don't know why, I'm not the architect. I don't make these goofy decisions, I just point them out.

This could have been a respectable or even stately building if only they hadn’t fallen for the offset windows trope.

Wow real hand laid brick facade on a high rise, didnt expect that! Awesome. The renders had made the rear wing look very yellow, but in real life its just a couple shades lighter than the red brick, should look much better than it had been presented.

Going to look much better in the end, plus real hand laid brick almost always shows through as much higher quality looking.
