The buildings look pretty good, but so many garage doors... make me kind of sad. Seems like there should be a better way to accommodate off-street parking needs for the neighborhood in a less obtrusive way.
Given the big uptick in developments in the last 6 years or so, did the city of Boston have to make any sort of upgrades to the sewage/water/electrical lines to accommodate things?
Would be great to see this flurry of activity in other neighborhoods close to downtown like Charlestown and Eastie too, most of the new stuff looks great tho!
100 A Street is up in front of the BRA now, the diner site. Diner to be demolished, replacement building will be masonry and black curtain wall. 6 stories, 9 units. 10 parking spaces enclosed on-site. It will fill the entire triangular site, with retail frontages in a couple spots. Looks alright, got a good flat-ironesque look from some angles. Bump-outs along the sides, roof deck. Canopy over A Street. Still undergoing design review. They may keep the diner.
