Condos Approved for Under Construction Southie Project

“A notice of project change has been approved for the mixed-use building under construction at 267 Old Colony Avenue. The 55 residential units in the project will now be condos instead of apartments. The new building will also include 8,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.”

Id love to see monarch build hundreds of these around the city, they really look good. Buildings like these would also be perfect along mass ave from bmc up to columbia rd to extend the brick rowhouse street wall from the south end all the way up to uphams corner in dorchester and finally connecting them together. As it is today its like the world ends at bmc and theres a pedestrian force field, but if they redeveloped mass ave it would connect the south end and back bay to dorchester and make it all feel like its all part of the same city and not 2 separate places.

I really like the individual entrances for each unit, it doesn’t seem like a ton of new construction have those

That one at H and Broadway is fantastic, I hadn't seen a render for it until your post. A lot of memories of Store 24, but that's a perfect replacement. I wonder how long the storefronts next it have (they better not close the Bowlarama).

Foundation work under way at the H Street site 6/15.

BeeLine, thank you for your continued work in documenting this stuff. I don't get back to Southie nearly as often as I'd like, so it's nice to be able to keep up on the changes.

It's amazing how much the project at H and E Broadway is changing the view there. A major hole filled.
