H and East Broadway. This thing is incredible. Having been used to this being a parking lot and Store 24, it completely changes the feel of the area. View attachment 67105

Great pics, Arenacale! And your final comment hits the spot - - sometimes a new building isn't 'just a new building'. Put in the right place, it can be far more - a vibe changing catalyst to an area becoming more dynamic, lively and prosperous. There may not be a lot of 40 story skyscrapers being built at the moment - but these urbanizing upgrades in Allston/Brighton, Everett, Cambridge, Southie, Revere, Lynn, Medford, Somerville, etc. are making Greater Boston a bigger, better metropolis.

H and Broadway does have some nice south end vibes
To that end, I looked up the listing for one of the units to see what it was going for and how it compared to what we've been looking at locally in Grafton/Westborough/Shrewsbury, since each unit is roughly comparable in size and parking to what we want. $3.2 Million! Which is about triple what we've seen new construction out here go for. Location, location, etc.

“The NPC Project calls for the development of 144 residential units and garage parking for 100 spaces within the building. The existing two-story warehouse building will be demolished to make space for the new four (4) story building along West Second Street and a six (6) story building along West First Street, and the Project Site will be subject to any necessary remediation.“

Good to finally see some development here. W1st and C st is a rough looking intersection.

“Drack CM recently completed The Vesta, a 32-unit mixed-use development, earlier this year. With the residential condos nearly fully occupied, the team continues to move toward full project completion with the wrap-up of the new Bells Market, which is set to reopen in early November. With this milestone achieved, Drack will soon begin the final commercial fit-out within the building, marking the last phase of work at The Vesta.”

What a complete transformation of that corner. I drove by there a few weeks back for the first time in years and barely recognized where I was. Could see into the new Bell's a bit and it's going to be nice.
