South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

As far as I can tell they are pouring this second to last floor before the final indent, so it will be 3 more plus a 3 story crown. I am not counting the core, which itself might already be topped off.

Nice observation, but the fact that there's still a porcupine of rebar sticking up out of the core likely means it is not topped off. They probably just need to reset their formwork system for the last portion.

It would be a nice touch if the top 3 levels(Mechanicals) light up as the render in DZH22's post above suggests.
While we get our fair share of bait and switch nonsense, I think this one is a safe bet in that literally every “official” dusk and nighttime render has shown the lit crown. And there are a lot of them.

That’s probably the best vantage point of SST to see how it will interact with its neighbors. I like it!

Ouch… that shot over the channel makes the office floors look like an unflattering bustle on the skinny residential tower.
I really, really dislike the massing on this one. The transition from office to residential is so jarring it's just ridiculous in my opinion.

I wasn't sure I was going to feel about the massing until this thing was under construction, but I love what I'm seeing. Can't wait to check it out in person.

I'm not ready to judge the massing until this thing tops out. There's still the entire top section remaining, consisting of 2 substantial floors plus a 3 story crown. The current product already shows off its verticality better than in the renderings. It's going to look very tall from the South.
