Really? Grew up on the Rozzie border and Westie was quite common, especially at Latin.Eastie, Rozzie and of course Southie have been a thing for a long as I can remember. Growing up in West Roxbury I heard Westie occationally but it really wasn't common.
When did the term Westie get invented. Grew up there…and never heard it.Really? Grew up on the Rozzie border and Westie was quite common, especially at Latin.
Not sure, been hearing it for years, though it definitely is not as common as Eastie/Southie/Rozzie. Maybe it's one of those things where the folks in West Roxbury don't use it, but people in Roslindale do?When did the term Westie get invented. Grew up there…and never heard it.
Yeah, bit of research on it with this patch article. So it sounds like a combination of generational and also other neighborhoods using it? Which might make sense to me, as I picked it up in Latin where the other Westie kids and those from other neighborhoods used it. Friend circle outside of that was also mainly from outside of the neighborhood, too.Not sure, been hearing it for years, though it definitely is not as common as Eastie/Southie/Rozzie.
